I spend regular bursts of days away from electricity, not to mention internet, and it restores me so deeply I wish everyone could have it. But there is no way now I could do my job without a computer and internet connection. Used to be able to but not for years now.

So much of our lives are intertwined with technology now. It's hard to remember what it was like before we were totally wired! I could be a lot better about taking breaks.

I’d Sleep. I actually lost my laptop the same way at the height of the Pandy. Ive been without since and am looking finally for a new one. I hate not having one and I love not having one. Which squarely puts this in the classical sense right up there with the lovely paradoxes of living on this planet as a human. I know I’d be better off without a laptop but I know I’d be better off with a laptop. To be or not to be. Damn it I just want to sleep.

Oh my gosh this just happened to us! My husband's computer was from 2011, and I'd gotten a Chromebook in a moment of feeling frugal 6 years ago. His DIED and he was working on stuff for his art exhibition. We got renovated computers at a local Mac store. Had to do it. They're good! Whew. Good luck on this upcoming month. You'll be okay. Probably.

It's no fun! My computer is still working fine, so he can check for important emails and such. We realized today his mental state will probably be great by the end of this because he's not looking at news all day!
